Compete in our Home Brew Beer Competition in conjunction with the 4th Annual Alhambra Pumpkin Run & Festival on Sunday, October 22nd
Winner will be invited to Ohana Brewing Company and will replicate their award winning home brew!
The Home Brew Beer Competition will be judged by BJCP judges, professional brewers, and city officials – and the winning beer will be recreated by Ohana Brewing Company*, as faithfully as possible to the original recipe, and distributed for all to enjoy!
The winner will also receive other brewery merchandise including an embroidered shirt, tap handle, and glassware!
Beers must be submitted between the dates of October 1 and October 15, 2017.
The competition judging will be held on Sunday, October 22, and the winner announced during the festival. Winner need not be present to win.
You may submit up to four (4) different beers. You may submit more than one beer in the same category/subcategory.
There is a $10 entry fee for each beer submitted. Checks should be make payable to Downtown Alhambra Business Association (all entry fees will go to support the Alhambra First Responders Fund).
Along with the chance to have one of your very own recipes professionally brewed and distributed, you will also be helping us to raise money for those in need.
You must send at least three (3) bottles of each beer, 12 oz. or larger.
Each beer must have bottle identification taped to it.
Bottle identification consists of:
Homebrewer’s name, address, telephone number, and email
Name of beer
Home Brew club (if applicable)

Monday – Thursday 4pm-9pm
Friday – Saturday 11am-10pm
The beers will be kept at the appropriate storage temperature until the time of the contest.
Eligibility: This contest is open to non-professional homebrewers who are 21 years or older at the time of the entry. Employees of OhanaBrewing Company are not eligible.
This is not an AHA/BJCP Sanctioned Competition and homebrewers are not required to be AmericanHomebrewers Association (AHA) members; however, we encourage non-members to visit homebrewersassociation.org for further information.
Entrants are responsible for accurately following all entry requirements.
The Downtown Alhambra Business Association reserves the right to change these rules, at its sole discretion, in order to secure the proper administration of the contest.
